Baby beanie and blanket

Rnd 1: ch 4, join to form ring

Rnd 2: 6 sc in ring, DO NOT JOIN (you may want to place a marker here to keep track of Rnd)

Rnd3: 2 sc in each sc of previous round (12 sc)

Rnd 4: (2 sc in next stitch, 1 sc in next stitch) 6 times, (18 sc)

Rnd 5: (2 sc in next stitch, 1 sc in next 2 stitches) 6 times (24 sc)

Rnd 6: (2 sc in next stitch, 1 sc in next 3 stitches) 6 times (30 sc)

Rnd 7: (2 sc in next stitch, 1 sc in next 4 stitches) 6 tmes (36 sc).

Rnd 8: ch3 (this counts as first dc), dc in same stitch, ch 1, 2dc in same stitch, *skip 3 sc, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next sc* repeat from * to beginning chain. Join. (for extra help click here).

Rnd 9: Slip Stich to ch 1 space, (ch 3, dc, ch 1, 2dc) in first chain 1 space, (2dc, 1 ch, 2dc) in each ch 1 space around. Join.

Rnd 10-14: repeat Rnd 9

Rnd 15: ch 1, 1 sc in same stitch and in each stitch around, join

Rnd 16: repeat Rnd 15

Baby blanket and hat

Instructions:
Blanket measures 39 x 32 inches.  Hat fits 6-9 month old.
Blanket:
  1. With larger hook, ch 90.
     
  2. Row 1 (Right Side): Dc in 6th ch from hook, dc in next 4 ch, ch 1, skip next ch, [dc in next 5 ch, ch 1, skip next ch] 13 times, dc in last ch; turn.
     
  3. Row 2: Ch 3, dc in first dc, * ch 2, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc, ch 2 **, 3 dc in next ch-1 space; repeat from * to last 2 sts, end at **; skip next ch, 2 dc in next ch; turn.
     
  4. Row 3: Ch 3, dc in next dc, * dc in next ch-2 space, ch 1, dc in next ch-2 space **, dc in next 3 dc; repeat from * to last 2 sts, end at **; dc in next dc and top of ch-3; turn.
     
  5. Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first dc, * ch 2, 3 dc in next ch-1 space, ch 2, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc; repeat from * across working last sc in top of ch-3; turn.
     
  6. Row 5: Ch 4, * dc in ch-2 space, dc in next 3 dc, dc in next ch-2 space, ch 1; repeat from * to last st; dc in last sc; turn.
     
  7. Rows 6-65: Repeat Rows 2-5 fifteen times. Do not turn at end of last row but pivot to work down next side.
Border
  1. Round 1: With right side still facing, work sc evenly around all 4 sides and work 3 sc in each corner; join with a slip st in first sc.
     
  2. Round 2: * Ch 3, dc in same st, skip next 2 sc, slip st in next sc; repeat from * around adjusting as necessary at corners and end of round; join in first st of round. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Hat:
  1. With smaller hook, ch 4; join with a slip st in first ch to form a ring.
     
  2. Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc in ring; join with a slip st in top of ch-3 – 12 dc.
     
  3. Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st as joining, [2 dc in next dc] 11 times; join – 24 dc.
     
  4. Round 3: Ch 3, dc in same st as joining, dc in next dc, [2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc] 11 times; join – 36 dc.
     
  5. Round 4: Ch 3, dc in same st as joining, dc in next 2 dc, [2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc] 11 times; join – 48 dc.
     
  6. Round 5: Ch 3, dc in same st as joining, dc in next 3 dc, ch 1, [dc in next 5 dc, ch 1] 4 times, 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc, ch 1, [dc in next 5 dc, ch 1] 4 times; join – 50 dc and 10 ch-1 spaces.
     
  7. Round 6: Slip st in next dc, (slip st, ch 1, sc) all in next dc, * ch 2, 3 dc in next ch-1 space, ch 2 **, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc; repeat from * around, end at **; join in first sc.
     
  8. Round 7: Slip st in next ch-2 space, ch 3, * dc in next 3 dc, dc in next ch-2 space, ch 1 **, dc in next ch-2 space; repeat from * around, end at **; join.
     
  9. Rounds 8-12: Repeat Rounds 6 and 7 twice, and then repeat Round 6 once more.
     
  10. Round 13: Ch 3, * dc in next ch-2 space, dc in next 3 dc, dc in next ch-2 space **, dc in next sc; repeat from * around, end at **; join – 60 dc.
     
  11. Round 14: Ch 3, dc in each dc around; join.
     
  12. Round 15: Ch 3, dc in front loop of each dc around; join.
     
  13. Round 16: Ch 3, dc in both loops of each dc around; join.
     
  14. Fasten off. Weave in ends. Fold up last 2 rounds.

Chain 83.
Row 1: In the 5th chain from hook work (sc, hdc, dc); *skip next 2 chains, in next ch work (sc, hdc, dc);repeat from * across to last 3 chains; skip next 2 chains, dc in last chain.  Chain 2, turn.
Row 2: In next dc work (sc, hdc, dc); * sk next 2 sts, in next dc work (sc, hdc, dc); rep from * to beg 4 skipped chs; sk next 2 chs, dc in next ch. Ch 2, turn.
Row 3 (right side): * In next dc work (sc, hdc, dc); sk next 2 sts; rep from * to turning ch-2; dc in 2nd ch of turning ch. Turn.
Repeat row 3 for desired length. At end of last row finish o
